Plot Log

Postby Donald E Robinson, PLS » Fri Dec 23, 2005 8:39 pm

Lately, I have been receiving a plot log on my desk top every time I plot.
I have attempted to turn this feature off in the plot stamp dialog box but
everything is grayed-out. How do I activate this dialog box?

I believe that the plot log is where Carlson stores the plot parameters

for drawings. It doesn't have anything to do with the plot stamp.
Where the plot log is stored depends on which directory you have Carlson
Survey defaulted to run in. If no default directory is specified, it
stores the plot log on the desktop.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the reply Terry.

I had to create a new pss file to make the Plot Stamp dialog box active.
FYI... there is a checkbox in the advance section of this dialog box to turn
plot log on and off. Somehow, it turned on by itself and I was unable to
turn it off. I found that when I created a new pss file the dialog box
became fully active and I was able to turn it off.

Donald:
That's interesting. I've never used this feature. I do have a plot.log
file, also, on my desktop, that lists the parameters (paper size, etc)
for different dwgs, although it is not checked in the advanced settings.
Whenever I change the system defaults for a plot, it asks me if I want
to apply the changes to a sinle plot, or store to the file.
