Point & Attribute Move (NEW GUY)

Postby Gotee » Fri Jan 13, 2006 8:09 pm

I had been using an older version of LDD. I am trying to slowly learn
Carlson Survey 2005, In Ldd when you move the attribute the point stays
and you get a leader. Is there a way to make that happen in Carlson. I
have tried to convert to LDD and it works but then its hard to edit, is
there an easier way? And also when I move the Attrib. It will move the
coordinate of the point also. I would like to move the attribute without
moving the coordinate point is what I'm trying to say. Thanks for any
help, Still learning

Not exactly sure if this is what you are looking for, but... if you click on
one of the point attributes, it's grips will appear... then click on one of
the grips, move the attribute where you want it... and click again. Only
that attribute will move and the rest including the point itself will stay
where it was.

I agree, the move point attribute is very useful. You can additionally
rotate the attribute (or enter to keep the current angle) after you move
it. An easy way to find this command is the "Points" toolbar.
On a side note, I don't think that the leader is automatically added.
You can add one via Annotate>Leader with Text command. and just leave
the text field empty.

in the command line-preferences-selection-object grouping, then the point
and the attributes
can be moved anywhere you want
