Wipeout

Postby geotrek » Tue Mar 28, 2006 9:36 pm

does carlson support text and or object wipeout??

as per

"Contour Labels - Added an option to use text wipeout and not break the
contour polyline. When using the previous style of breaking the contour,
added an option to set the gap size between the text label and the contour
polyline. "

i have a lsp routine given to me for text wipeout but it does not seem to
work.

is there a specific procedure to load lsp routines in carlson 2006?

Sorry to disappoint you, but Carlson Survey does not support any kind of
user created commands (lsp, VBA, etc.). This is a common question on
these message boards, and it is one of the drawbacks to CS.
As far as wipeout goes, not sure. I don't break the contours when I
label them for this reason.

Carlson 2006 has the wipeout command available. Just type wipeout at the
command line and draw a shape to cover what you want hidden. easy enough
to assign this to a new toolbar button. Only problem is the border cannot
be switched off so you need to set it to a colour (we use 250) that has be
set to have 0 screening in the plot syle table. This cause the colour not
to plot and hide whatever is underneath it.
