Point Groups

Postby John Macolini » Tue May 02, 2006 12:35 am

I seem to have no problems creating them. But I can't seem to use them.
I've tried using point groups for contouring, and also for scaling point
attributes, and I get:

Command: pntenl

Scaling Multiplier <0.5>: 2

Select Carlson Software Point Attributes & Symbols to Enlarge/Reduce.
Select objects: g

Enter group name: topo

Invalid group name.

I know this post is slightly old, but has anyone solved this? I have
success when drawing points using point groups, and when contouring. I
tried the attribute scaling as shown below and get the same error. This
seems to be a bug. Does anyone get this error in CS2006? I am assuming
you are using CS2004 John.
Do your groups work with other point functions? i.e. listing, drawing,
rotating, etc.

Doug,

I can't use my point groups for anything. I can create them, and view them.
But I just get an error when I try to use them with a command.

Yes, I'm using CS 2004. I'm skipping CS2006, and I'll upgrade to 2007 when
it's out.
