Carlson Explorer 600+ Warranty Repair
Charging Mechanism Repair
Some of the Carlson Explorer 600+ data collectors delivered between June 1st and September 26, 2006 have a mechanical defect in the charging mechanism. This defect does not affect the operation of the unit nor does it represent any hazard. It only means that the battery is not receiving a full charge and that your unit may only operate for 4 -5 hours, approximately ½ of the rated time. This defect is mechanical and the faulty component will be replaced under warranty. This means that the unit must be returned to the manufacturer for repair.

Carlson Software and Two Technologies (the manufacturer) apologize for this inconvenience.

To check if your unit is affected you will need the hardware serial number. This number can be found on the back of the unit and starts with the letters HH.

Please fill your HH number into the following form. It will check our database to see whether your unit is affected. If your unit is not listed, it is not affected. You may then contact your dealer for assistance or follow the instructions below.

If your unit is affected you may contact your local dealer for help or fill out the Return for Repair form and select submit.

If you fill out the recall form an email with an RMA number, shipping instructions and a FedEx number for prepaid freight will be dispatched to the email address you provide.

If you do not have access to email you may call us at 606-564-5028. Please have the Hardware serial number and your name address and phone number available when you call.
