"Sight" Survey 2.0 Replacement Disks

Create a new "Sight" Survey 2.0 disk set  (s/n 981008)

System Requirements:  Pentium or compatible processor running Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, or NT 4.0 or higher, 32Mb of RAM, a hard disk drive with 14 Mb free space, mouse, VGA or higher resolution graphics. We recommend a minimum resolution of 800 x 600, best when viewed at 1280 x 1024.

Alternate Download:  Instead of creating a floppy disk set, you may download a single, larger file to your computer and install from there.  Click here for instructions.

This procedure allows you to create a new disk set for "Sight" Survey 2.0 that will install as a demo version.  The disk set may also be used to refresh an installation on a computer that has already contained an unlocked version of "Sight" Survey 2

You will need five (5) blank 3 1/2" floppy disks to make a complete set.  You may also use the disk links below to create any single disk to replace a damaged one.

Left-click on each of the following five files.  When the File Download window appears, left-click on the Open button.  Insert a blank 3 1/2" disk into your A: drive.  When the WinZip Self Extracting window appears, click the Browse button and set the Unzip to Folder location as A:.  Click the Unzip button to create the disk.  When the files have finished expanding to the disk, remove the disk and label it with the appropriate number.

To Install:  When the set has been completely copied, insert disk number 1, click Start, select Run, type A:Setup.exe and press <enter> to begin the setup program.

To Run "Sight" Survey:  Left click the Windows Start button, click Programs, highlight Simplicity Systems, double-left-click the "Sight" Survey 2.0 icon (not the Sight Survey Setup icon).  You should now be in the program, and the demo will only be able only to work with up to 25 points.  It will not save files or print.

Alternate Download Instructions:

Instead of creating a floppy disk set, you may download a single, larger file to a temporary folder on your computer and install from there.  After installing the program, you may delete the temporary files and/or folder.

Click here to download ss2cd.exe  (6,780 Kbytes).

When the File Download window appears, left-click on the Save button and download the file to your C:\SS2CD folder, or some other temporary folder.  You may want to create a new temporary folder to better facilitate the download and installation.  The amount of time needed to download is dependent upon the speed of your internet connection.

To Install:   Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the folder into which you saved the ss2cd.exe file.  Double-left-click the ss2cd.exe filename to begin the installation process.  When the WinZip Self Extracting window appears, click the Browse button and set your temporary folder as the the Unzip to Folder location.  Click the Unzip button to extract the files.  When the files have been completely expanded, double-left-click the Setup.exe file begin the setup program.  We suggest you select to install all options, and use the suggested default folders as your installation location.

To make a replacement CD:  Burn all the files except ss2cd.exe from the ss2cd folder to a CD.
