Collector Connector (CC08)
Invalid COGO File Name If the file name you enter for the COGO File Name is not a valid file name or it does not exist, or if an error occurs when attempting to open the specified file, you will receive a message similar to the following:
You must enter a valid COGO File name before you can continue. (The filename is invalid or an error occurred when attempting to open the file!)
Please check the path and filename to be sure you typed them correctly. You may also need to check the Default Paths on the Configure screen.
If you cannot remember the name of your file, select the <File Browse..> button.
Check the file name to be sure it is a valid file name. File names and directories are limited to a maximum of eight characters with a three character extension, and even when running in Windows, they must not contain any of the following characters:
/ [ ] : | < > + = ; , * ?
Be sure to follow all drive designations with :\ and place a \ after each directory name. Do not place a \ after an actual file name or Collector Connector will treat it as a directory name.
If you are having difficulty entering a valid file name, it is best simply to use the File Browse feature to enter or select your file name from the Windows-style file selection screen.
