Contour It (CI14)
The border segment from pt. x to pt. y intersects with the border segment from pt. a to pt. b. Select Borders from the Edit menu and adjust the border accordingly.
Your border file contains crossing border lines, a condition that Contour It! does not allows. Use the Edit > Borders routine to modify the offending border lines.
A border consists of line segments connecting the outermost points in the contour point group. Every contour map must have a border, although the border does not need to be visible on the map. The border file contains the point string that defines the border.
Specifying a Border When passing points from “Sight” Survey to Contour It!, you are given the opportunity to enter a border. To specify a border, simply type in the point numbers of the border (perimeter) points. You may also select the border points visually by using “Sight” Survey’s Get String(GS) command. If you do not manually enter a border, Contour It will automatically generate the border file.
If you receive this message, your border file contains crossing border lines, which is not permissible in Contour It. The error message will tell you which border lines are crossing. Use the Edit > Border routine to redefine the offending border lines. You may also erase all of the points within the border file and Contour It will automatically generate a new border file. Note: Erasing points from the border file does not erase data points from your job.
Border Rules 1. If you do not enter a border, Contour It! will attempt to provide one for you. You may edit this border with the Edit > Border routine.
2. Border lines can never cross each other.
3. Breaklines may never cross a border line.
