Text (or other items) added to a drawing disappears when the drawing is refreshed or reloaded

When items that have been added to a drawing disappear when the drawing is refreshed or reloaded, it can be corrected by using the Layer Editing control to make all layers visible.

Type the two-letter command EL or select Start > Settings > Layer Control.  Click the All Layers Visible button, then click OK.
