"Sight" Survey
(SS121)
Can't find Shell.DLL
For
some reason, some computers report this problem when installing "Sight"
Survey from a CD. Shell.DLL is a Windows file that most likely is located on
your computer, but the 16-bit version has not been initialized because the
file is not in it's expected location.
Do a search for the Shell.DLL file using Windows' Start>Find (or Search)
function. When the file has been found, right-click on the Shell.DLL
file, then left-click Copy. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to
the C:\Windows folder, then scroll sown to the C:\Windows\System
folder. Right-click on the folder, then left-click Paste.
Now find the C:\Windows\System32 folder, right-click on the
folder, then left-click Paste. Finally, look for the folder
dllcache inside the System32 folder. Right-click on the
folder, then left-click Paste.
Reboot your computer.
