Icon Tool Tips - Display or Hide
Icon tool tips are the little labels that appear when your mouse hovers over an icon. Tool tips generally tell you the name or function of the icon. When you see tool tips in the format of left tip / right tip, that indicates the icon's function when left-clicked and also when right-clicked.
To display or hide the icon tool tips, you need to edit the file COGO.INI in your \SightSrv\Program folder.
Load the file into Windows Notepad as follows: Click Start, select Run, type the command: C:\SightSrv\Program\COGO.INI and press <enter>. Remember to adjust the drive letter if necessary.
Look for the setting TOOLTIPS=1 or TOOLTIPS=0. Change the tool tips value to the desired setting. TOOLTIPS=1 will show the tool tips, while TOOLTIPS=0 will hide the tool tips.
Save the Cogo.INI file. (Make sure you do not add any formatting. It must be a plain text file.)
