"Sight" Survey (SS36)
Inserting a degree symbol into text
When typing text into the text entry dialog box or text output window, you must use the ASCII equivalent to place a degree symbol. The ASCII code for a degree symbol is usually 248, but may be 176 depending upon the font you are using. When you want to place a degree symbol, hold down the <ALT> key and type 248 (if 248 doesn't work, try 176) on the numeric keypad. If you try both numbers and you still cannot see a degree symbol, the font you are using most likely does not contain one.
You MUST use the numbers from the numeric keypad or this will not work.
