Changing the Line Weight of a Leader Line

When using the Start > Annotate > Add Arrow command, the line weight of the leader line is fixed to a weight of 0, causing the line to sometimes disappear when printed.  In a multi-part, or bent line, only the last segment cannot be changed.

When drawing a leader line, do not place the arrowhead at the end of the segment by pressing the space bar as directed.  Instead, move the cursor slightly to create an end point for the arrowhead, then press the spacebar to set the arrow.

By moving the cursor only slightly to a new end point, you will create an arrowhead that will cover the end of the previous line segment, but it will leave you a line segment that can be edited for weight.

Care must be taken to extend the arrowhead point on the same orientation as the previous line so the rotation angle of the arrowhead is correct.

To edit the line weight, double-click on the leader line and increase the line weight in the line properties box.
