"Sight" Survey   (SS67)

 

Problem reading config file.  Sight Survey could not be loaded properly because of an unforeseen problem.  The problem was Error #5 - Illegal function call

 

 

When starting Sight Survey user receives first problem error. Upon clicking OK, user receives secondary message. This error is caused by a corrupt Simplcty.INI file.

 

IF YOU ARE ON A NETWORK:  You must have full read/write access to the C:\Windows folder and the C:\Window\Temp folder.  Have your IT professionals reconfigure your user profile if necessary.  If that does not work, or if it does not apply, follow the instructions below.

 

1. Click Start > Find > Files or Folders and search for Simplcty.INI


2. Right-click the found file name, then left-click Properties. Check to insure that the file in NOT set to Read Only. If it is, uncheck the box, exit File Find, and re-start Sight Survey.


3. If the file is not set as Read Only, exit the properties box, then right-click the file again. Left-click Rename, and change the filename or extension from .INI to .INK.


4. Exit File Find and reinstall Sight Survey. This will return the program to demo status and the registration window will appear.  Complete the form and call (606) 564-5028 for an unlock code.
