"Sight" Survey  (SS71)

Print Preview Locks-up the Computer 

Symptoms:  The print preview screen goes totally white, with no paper size or margin settings visible. The program crashes and a reboot is necessary.

Solution:  Correct the corrupted margin and color settings in the HighEdit section of the   Simplcty.INI file.

1.  Click Start > Find (or Search) > Files or Folders

2.  Enter the name Simplcty.INI (note the spelling, only 8 characters)

3.  Search the C: drive in the LOOK IN box and click FIND NOW

4.  In the list of files found, double click the Simplcty.INI file to open it in Windows Notepad

5.  Change the FORMAT and COLOR values in the [HighEdit] section, and verify other values

6.  Click the X in the upper-right corner of the Notepad window to close the window and save
the Simplcty.INI file.

7.  Restart the program. If prompted, "A temporary file exists.  Do you want to try and recover?"  answer "NO"
