"Sight" Survey  (SS72)

 

Changing the font by clicking on the Text Output toolbar causes a GPF error, "General Protection Fault in module USER.EXE" 

 

 

This error occurs only in Windows NT, XP, and 2000, when attempting to change the Text Output window font by selecting the font from the Text Output window toolbar.  It is caused by an incompatibility in the High Edit engine with Windows.  There is no fix, but there is a work-around.

 

Only font name selection is affected.  Other font attributes such as: color; size, bold, etc. remain changeable from the toolbar.

 

Work-around:

To change the font, right-click in the Text Output window, then choose Select Global Font from the menu that appears.  A standard font selection dialog window will appear and allow you to change the font.
