"Sight" Survey  (SS89)

Can't Load Title Block, or...

Attempt to load two surveyor drawings in different units.  Load aborted.

This error results from the fact that you have different CAD database units in each drawing.  Normally, your drawing is stored with CAD database units in feet.  You can check the CAD units by selecting Config > CAD Configuration.  In the middle of the top row of settings, you'll see a CAD Units setting.

When you follow the instructions for creating a title block, the first thing we have you do is set the CAD Units to Inches, and set your scale as 1" = 1".  This is done so that no matter what scale your drawing will be plotted at, the physical size of the title block will match the selected paper size.

If you received this error when trying to load a title block, one of two events has occurred:  1. You did not set your CAD Units to inches when you created your title block; or 2. You attempted to load the title block drawing by using the Start > File > Load Drawing routine instead of the Start > File > Load Title Block routine.

It is required that you use the Start > File > Load Title Block routine to load a title block, since it contains the necessary macro commands to correctly scale your title block.  If you are using that routine and you get the error, then you created the title block drawing with the CAD Units set to feet.
